The sad fact is that over 90% of the North American Population is addicted to Sugar (defined as Sugar, Alcohol, Bread or any artificial sweetener). Breaking this addiction is difficult to say the least...today is my first day off sugar again (trip #31) this is a blog about journey from Junkie to Fit.
I'm 42 years old 5'11", (now) 218.5 pounds. I'm a waterman, Kiteboarder, Paddle Boarder ect.
I spent the last 7 weeks on the "junk." My health seemed to decline by the day. Sinus drip, dehydration and shortness of breath came first. Arthritis and chest pains followed. My sinus congestion was so bad last night, I decide to try to get off the junk today. I've done this before, so I knew what to do.
1st Day
1. Make sure that all the "Junk" is out of the house.
2. Repeat these words : "I know what it tastes like, I had it before, I'll have it again."
3. I use the "Source Diet" when i'm not on the junk. What ever I source I can eat.
4. I loaded up the fridge with Pine apple and Oranges. The yard is full of fresh almonds and coconuts. Of course lots of fish are gonna be dying. Lucky I live on Kite Beach. http://paddleboardtours.blogspot.com/
Dealing with With drawls:
1st Day Symptoms
Irritability
Head Aches
Depression
Fatigue
So, I am going to make it through the first day even though I am suffering from all of the above symptoms, I simply do not want to be a junkie any more. Wish me luck on day #2, 3 and 4. Once you pass 4 days, your home free.
